In 2020, the world faced tremendous and devastating effects with the COVID-19 pandemic that destroyed lives, shuttered businesses, and transformed us personally and professionally. The impacts threatened to reverse progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Even prior to the pandemic, the world was off track to achieve the UN SDGs, with the slowdown of the decline of global extreme poverty as well as continued gender and other equality gaps, as well as environmental deterioration and the pace of other change not happening fast enough.

With the disproportionate affects on the poor and the vulnerable, women and children the most likely to face economic insecurity and other increased risks. It is critical for us to come together to collectively course-correct and address the challenge and get back on pace to accelerate progress toward the UN SDGs.
